Jonathan has an enviable track record of success spanning 20 years in the property and relocation industry. As Managing Director of Garrington, he leads a company that has represented numerous clients in multi-million pound transactions and in turn developed a respected industry profile, through the strategic growth of a market leading brand.
Jonathan is a Director on the Board of The Property Ombudsman, a Council Member of the UK’s Association of Relocation Professionals and is a former National Council Member of the NAEA.
He is frequently called upon as an authoritative voice for market insights with articles published in The Financial Times, Canary Wharf and City magazines, The Sunday Time and Bloomberg.
A past recipient of the ‘Best UK Property Finder’ award, he is continuously striving to hone his skills having completed leadership programmes at Cranfield Management School and an MBA at Ashcroft International Business School in Cambridge.

Nicholas Finn Executive Director
Nicholas Finn is London born and bred. With a property career spanning over a decade, he worked in prime London locations from St Johns Wood to Chiswick with one of the capital’s largest sales agents, before channelling his entrepreneurial flair into establishing his own estate agency in a sought-after part of London.
Prior to joining Garrington, Nicholas founded and ran an asset management company. It served corporate institutions and their private clients looking to sell, relocate or add to their portfolios. Nicholas leads and supports a growing team whilst using his experience and extensive contacts to generate exclusive opportunities for clients. He lives in London with his wife and young family.
John Adamson Executive Chairman
John has worked in the property sector for the last 25 years and has director level experience in residential sales, letting and management, estate management and development. Most recently he was Managing Director and majority shareholder of one of largest estate and letting agents in the Eastern region which he successfully sold to a FTSE 250 organisation.
He holds an MBA from The Open University and is a well-respected entrepreneurial leader with an eye for detail, who thrives on the creation of customer-focused companies, where success becomes a by-product of excellence.
Nick Dawson Regional Partner
Educated at Sherborne School, Dorset, and graduating from Royal Holloway College (University of London) in 1996, Nick moved into property after starting in the City as a shipbroker. He worked for high profile, corporate real estate and smaller independent niche companies. Nick’s particular expertise lies in central London (Belgravia, Mayfair and Knightsbridge), Kensington, Notting Hill Gate and Marylebone. But he also has extensive knowledge of London’s smaller markets such as Wimbledon, Richmond, Clerkenwell, The City, Islington, Hampstead Village and St. Johns Wood.
After a decade in the residential sector, Nick gained further experience working in the UK and European acquisition markets for commercial and investment property, and as an asset manager for investment funds. He joined Garrington in 2010.
Libby Watt Regional Partner
Libby has over 20 years experience in the property industry, the majority of which has been spent dealing with private clients in and around prime central London, the Middle East and Asia. After moving to London from Harrogate, North Yorkshire, Libby started her Property career with a leading independent agency based in Richmond, Surrey. Moving more centrally, Libby went on to head up a large corporate agency’s flag ship office in Sloane Square, before being made director of a respected independent agency in Marylebone.
Channeling this experience, Libby then launched a highly successful Mayfair based agency which specialised in providing a discreet, highly bespoke service, which ranged from acquiring off market properties to project managing refurbishments for overseas clients, on top of the excellent sales and lettings service the company provided.
With this wealth of experience, ability to form strong and lasting business relationships, an extensive knowledge of property and contacts within the industry, means clients heavily rely and trust Libby’s advice and proactive approach to secure exactly the right property for them.
James Rawes Regional Partner
James started his career in the property industry in 1988, working in the Home Counties before moving to London in the mid 1990s. Initially working in sales and block management across prime central and southwest London, he then made the transition to becoming a Buying Advisor, a role in which he has over six years’ experience.
James’s objective, unbiased approach to each search gives strength to his clients’ buying power, keeping them ahead of other purchasers in the market. Dedicated to finding the right solution for his clients, however long it takes, his ability to quickly build rapport with clients and agents alike ensures that each search is clear and concise in its execution.
Hilda Herterich Associate
Hilda has extensive knowledge of the London property market having worked across different disciplines of the residential market for over ten years. Prior to joining forces with Garrington Hilda had been operating her own independent property search consultancy in London. Her focus was on purchasing homes, pied-à-terre’s and rental investments in Central, West and South West London in particular.
Before setting up her own company, she worked as a Business Development Manager for a property-led investment management company. This background enables her to apply a strategic investment approach to all property purchases. Before this she worked for eight years in Marketing and PR, with a focus in her last two years on the property sector. Originally from Ireland, Hilda offers an attentive, professional but friendly service where discretion and integrity are integral to how she works.
Lisa Burton Regional Partner
Lisa began her property career in 1993 as a weekend viewings agent for a local property company while studying for her English & Psychology degree at Birmingham University. She spent 10 years in top London property agencies all over West and North London, before working for the conveyancing department of a law firm specialising in property. She liaised between estate agents, vendors and purchasers to ensure smooth sales transactions in the quickest time with the minimum fuss.
Before joining Garrington Lisa was the sales and marketing manager for a private city banking institution, arranging short-term finance for investors and developers, from auction purchases to portfolio acquisitions. Lisa lives in West London with her family
